Dai-ichi Life Gallery
Finished

Artists

Midori Sato
Working from her base in Nagoya Midori Sato takes on the familiar subjects of clothes filled closets, shelves of high heeled shoes and brightly colored flowers, combining a bold touch and deliberate texture to achieve a certain abstraction in the depiction of the work’s subject. Sato’s work has appeared on the front cover of Arawakawa ward wining novelist Fuminori Nakamura with “Last Winter We Parted”, the short stories of Maha Harada “The Camellia” as well as having won her the VOCA 2013 Ohara Museum of Art Prize. This exhibition features 8 of her works produced since January of this year.
