Fiona Tan
Leading contemporary artist Fiona Tan unveils new work in a moving image installation of Rembrandt’s daughter Cornelia (known affectionately as Nellie). She is known to have been born in the Netherlands in 1654 and to have passed away in the Dutch colony of Indonesia, but other than this very little is known. Here the mysterious life of this figure is lent the energy of imagination from an artist born in Indonesia and now living in the Netherlands. Also to be accompanied by work included in the “Photo Works” exhibition.
