Over The Border

This event has ended.

The great mountain “Ama Dablam” (with altitudes of 6812m) means “Mother’s Necklace” in Nepali, and towers beside Mount Everest, in the middle of the Khumbu region. Despite its beautiful appearance, climbers are required to learn certain techniques to safely reach the summit, and the north route in particular is terribly challenging, the artist’s own climb there being unsuccessful. In this exhibition, Ishikawa introduce photographs including those taken in the 2013 fall expedition as well as the spring expedition of Makalu in 2014, along with new video work, with a hope challenge Ama Dablam again some day.
