Yuri Shibuya
Since the 1990s, Yuri Shibuya has traveled the world documenting cultures including the New York skating scene and Jamaican roots culture with a unique perspective. Shibuya has chosen Camp 4 of Yosemite National Park, a Holy Grail of rock climbing, as the subject of her new black and white photo series. This exhibition lets visitors experience the wonders of Yosemite through Shibuya’s photos, including some not in her photo book “The North Face Standard”, which was sponsored by the North Face and published by Sawyer Press.
