From ceramics to media art, the natural world is among the most popular motifs in visual art. These artists have succeeded in organically fusing abstract modern ideas to create nature-inspired visuals and objects that seem real, but do not actually exist. Referencing the outstanding European exhibition “Artificial Nature” from the early 1990s, this show presents works that represent Japan’s manmade beauty.
