Creator of the picture book “Kubbes Museum” Ashild Kanstad Johnsen joins Tobira Project in its 3rd open lecture. “Kubbes Museum” is the tale of a little tree trunk called Kubbe who collects all kinds of things and opens a museum to show everyone his finds. But running the museum takes up all his time preventing him from doing all the other things he loves in life. The solution in the end is to photograph all the treasures and to stick the pictures in an album. This book points to the wealth of learning provided through the collection of objects and is here linked to new initiatives in Ueno such as the children’s learning design project “Museum Start AIUEO”.
