This event has ended.

Shiho Kagabu’s installations incorporate a variety of objects. Some of these objects are discarded items she found in the street, some are DIY shop purchases, and some are images, drawings, and other works she made herself. Kagabu rearranges these objects, which seem infinite and haphazardly arranged at first glance, to produce entirely new creations striking exquisite balances that ascertain and bring out the true essence of each object. She strips away the original meanings and roles of the objects to break through to the moments in which new, previously unknown versions of the objects emerge. By repeating this process of trial-and-error, she creates compilations that appear random and chaotic but are in fact natural and harmonized.
