Artists

Nicholas Marion Taylor
In the 1980’s Nicholas Marion Taylor was invited by Jean-Michel Basquiat and Michael Holman to join the band Gray and it is was through such activities that he came to take a series of private photographs of Basquiat. Under the name of “DJ High Priest” Taylor became the first white hip hop scratch DJ. Taylor gave up his camera for the world of music, but during the years he held the lens to his eye he captured precious insights into the life of iconic figures such as Basquiat and the New York scene.
