Tokyo Experimental Festival Vol.9 - TEF Sound Installation -

Tokyo Arts and Space Hongo
Finished

Artists

Ami Yamasaki, Shun Owada, Muku Kobayashi
Through an open call process 3 artists with very different approaches to sound are brought together in this group exhibition, opening up different worlds of sound upon each floor with a combination of audio and visual, time and space.

Muku Kobayashi: Yoko toka Shita toka
- Kobayashi sprinkles devices that repeat simple motions with making inconsiderable sounds in the exhibition space. In this sound installation, those mechanical pieces lead viewers to the horizon of inconsiderable sounds.
Shun Owada: dissolution
- Releasing CO2 fixed more than 250 million years ago from limestone, Owada focuses on the sounds generated in this carburation process. It is an installation that bridges now and primeval age.
Ami Yamasaki: till a quiet room sings
- Yamasaki makes a quiet space covered with white feathers. Viewers who enter the space will immerse themselves in the quietness and highly hone their auditory perception.
