Gwangju is widely recognized as a city which has been revitalized by its new focus upon culture, which has come in turn to enrich the lives of its citizens, while at the same time Yokohama has also made a name for itself as one of Asia’s major “creative cities”. BankArt 1929 is an NPO based in Yokohama, dedicated to making the creativity of the city known to wider Asia. As part of this mission BankArt also aims to connect with such culturally progress cities as Gwangju and here places a spotlight on spark which lies in this metropolis.
