In the 14th volume of the ongoing series of Miraikan Laboratories the developments of JST Crest’s research program “Construction and Utilization of Human-harmonized “Tangible” Information Environment” headed by Susumu Tachi, point towards the sentient possibilities of media which reach beyond the mere audio visual, working towards a media environment in which we may gain the sense of touch in an evolution of technology which may mark our future interaction with digital media.
