Mitsutoshi Imai

Winner of the 34th Showa exhibition Mitsutoshi Imai was also awarded a grant from the Agency of Cultural Affairs to study oil, tempera and fresco painting　at Accademia Nazionale di San Luca in Rome. Through his figurative work depicting roses, grapes, flowers and fruits with a transparency of color he continues to question human existence caught between time and presence.
