Capturing the scenes of Ueno, Hongyo and Yushima, Mori Ogai’s novel “The Wild Geese” is a tale which has enchanted many and has been dramatized through film and theatre on numerous occasions throughout the 20th century. This exhibition places a spotlight upon the cult following of “The Wild Geese” through the scripts, flyers, posters and photographs documenting its repeated transformation from a novel of the Meiji era to the stage and screen. This is accompanied by screening and reading events.
