Artists

Ai Teramoto
Ai Teramoto’s illustration series “Yubo Haitatsuin” (Nomadic Deliverers), which homages timeless fashion with portraits of people wearing original costumes influenced by a variety of regions and eras, was chosen for the 9th Graphic 1_Wall Grand Prix. Teramoto’s unique way of drawing eyes and the strength of her commanding figures won acclaim from the judges. The eyes of the people in her portraits in particular stand out for the way they suggest strong wills. As with photographic portraits, these drawings feature the personal effects of their subjects, making them seem like slices from the daily lives of people who do actually exist. Through new combinations of unique and futuristic fashion and international culture, Teramoto has created a special world for all to enjoy.
