In 1951 as he traveled to France to study economics, Yasuki Kanayama(1926-1959) became engrossed with the urge to paint, producing a wide variety of work from the abstract to the figurative, coming to popularity just before he died at the age of 33 years old. This exhibition features 70 examples of his work alongside that of his friends and contemporaries Gyoji Nomiyama, Hanjiro Sano and Yasuzaku Tabuchi.
