Working across the various regions of Echigo-Tsumari (Niigata, Japan), Bangkok, Shanghai and Nemuro (Hokkaido, Japan)Toshiya Takahama takes the various encounters and exchanges experienced in across each site and brings them to form through copperplate printing and monotypes. With a bold simple stroke and gradients of monochrome his works invite the viewer to a enter the depths of a silent story. In this exhibition, Takahama presents a selection of 15 sketches, etchings and monotype prints, each produced through his engagement in various regional projects.
