“EU Film Days 2014” Screenings

National Film Archive of Japan
Finished
Now in its 12th edition, EU Film Days showcases films from 23 member states of the European Union (EU). This year’s lineup of must-see films includes the Japan premier of “Kertu” (“Love Is Blind”)— the latest work of Estonian director Ilmar Raag, who attracted attention with the mega-hit, “Une Estonienne à Paris” (“A Lady in Paris”)— as well as several works shown only at film festivals. There will also be a symposium and stage greetings, with the director and leading actress of Bulgaria’s “I Am You”, the director of the Czech Republic’s “Vrásky Z Lásky” (“Oldies But Goodies”), and the director of Finland’s “Tavarataivas” (“My Stuff”) coming to Japan.
