Lindsey James Lee
Flood damage to his works during a 2013 typhoon in Manila prompted Lindsey James Lee to explore the idea of what gives art value through his own creative process. His “Pain Thing” series poses the question: What causes a painting to be considered art? If a painting is damaged, does its value decrease? How much time should a viewer afford to look at such works? Lee examines the various destinies and issues of painting through the same medium at this exhibition.
