Yoriko Takabatake
The painting of Yoriko Takabatake is born from an interpretation of the canvas support as the body. The paint becomes like threads which weave around the corpus gradually constructing the surface. Like the patterns of fabric colors combine in a crossing of horizontal and vertical lines creating painterly garments for the naked canvas.
