Semitransparent Design presents a show with the somewhat-confrontational title of “Boring/Bored at Ginza Graphic Gallery this October. As masters of visuals, programming, and network technology active in media including the web, installations, photography, and moving images, in the last few years Semitransparent Design has built on its foundations to begin staking out a unique position in the world of graphic design. This exhibition may seem archive-based at first, but its works are in fact appearing in new media for the first time. By momentarily wiping away the issue of rapidly changing network environments and the attendant transformation of communication methods, this exhibition seeks a broader view of design.
