Founded by the Tokyo University of the Arts Graduate School of Film and New Media with the support of Samsung Japan, the Galaxy Lab project researches and creates means of visual communication and expression using smartphones and other mobile devices. “Accidental Tools— Apparatus Improvisus” presents works made with after-recording camera apps, which blend smartphone-recorded footage with animation and live-action images. There will also be an AR app workshop, a tour of Shibuya in which participants use the AR app, talks, and other events.
