“The Electrical Parade Never Was A Satisfaction To Me” celebrates the publication of Chim↑Pom member Ellie’s first photo catalog produced by the group. The exhibition itself is a two-floor installation featuring Ellie’s wedding demonstration/parade/party, “Love is Over,” which took place the previous month. Mainly featuring the demonstration in Shinjuku that followed an outrageous party at Fu-rin Kaikan, visitors can see photos, including new works, which reveal Ellie’s madness. The entire event was photographed by the noted photographers Kishin Shinoyama and Leslie Kee, as well as long-time Chim↑Pom photographer Kenji Morita. Presented as one large collaboration, the exhibition also displays photos by other party-goers.
