Giorgio de Chirico
Giorgio de Chirico (1888-1978) was an artist who was active mostly in Paris and Italy and founded the metaphysical art movement. His depictions of mysterious scenes composed of strange and fantastical subjects are considered to have had a strong influence of surrealism. This exhibition invites visitors into de Chirico’s unique and wonderful world through some 100 major works on loan from the Musée d’Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris spanning his 70-year career.
