Colorful: Chinese Ming and Qing Dynasty Decorative Arts

The Nezu Museum’s Ming and Qing dynasty decorative arts are superb in both number and quality, featuring tea ceremony utensils collected by the museum’s founder, Kaichiro Nezu Sr., imperial kiln ware for visual appreciation besides tea use, and the donated Chinese lacquerware collection of Makiko Nagata, considered one of the finest in Japan. Through approximately 50 examples of decorative arts from the Ming and Qing dynasties, the museum hopes visitors will enjoy this colorful world of decorative arts from China, home to advanced of techniques and styles of decorative arts.
