“Tokyo Story 2014 Part 1”

Tokyo Arts and Space Hongo
Finished

Artists

Ichiro Endo, Saiko T, Kase, Daisuke Nagaoka, Chikara Matsumoto et al.
The fiscal 2013 TWS Creator-in-Residence programs generated countless stories celebrated here over a three part exhibition program, featuring 20 artists/units. The young artists in this exhibition, who took part in the Local Creator Residency Program, spending between six months to one year in residence, speak from diverse perspectives about society, the city, and their everyday lives and present us with a clear sense of the issues we face in the world, while others engaging in the Artists in Yubari program have looked closely at Yubari’s historical background, present, and future and come to develop an awareness of issues common to many contemporary cities.
