Tetsuya Ishida “Notes, Evidence of Dreams”

Hiratsuka Museum of Art
Finished

Artists

Tetsuya Ishida
Tetsuya Ishida(1973-2005) enjoyed great acclaim for his paintings of post-bubble Japan streaked with a dark humor, then sadly his life came to an end at the young age of 31, upon the tracks of a level crossing. This exhibition brings together 110 examples of his major work, alongside 51 sketch books made public for the first time, bringing new insights into an artist whose work continues to resonate with the pain and contradictions of contemporary society.
