“Side Core” is the name of this project involving various artists. The works are displayed in areas not usually considered to be places for showing art. After grasping the structure and meaning of each place inside the department store, the five artists reveal their own unique interpretations of the venue’s meaning. By adding works of expression to “spaces composed of public rules,” this exhibition encourages people to reconsider ways of thinking about spaces.
