“Sunself Hotel” emerged from an art project centered around a typical public housing unit in Toride, Ibaraki, and here is examined from the multiple perspectives of architecture, theater, cultural policy and art management and questions if the collaboration between artists and local residents results in something that may be referred to as art. Here a panel unpick the array of elements which come together to form such a project and debate its process and outputs.
