“Kanai-kun” Exhibition: What Happens When We Die?

Parco Museum Tokyo
Finished

Artists

Taiyo Matsumoto, Shuntaro Tanikawa
Through original illustrations, sketches, and alternate, never-before shown drawings for Shuntaro Tanikawa’s “Kanai-kun”, a picture book the artist spent two years drawing, this exhibition explores the question “What happens when we die?” Poetry on death by Taiyo Matsumoto, who wrote the text for “Kanai-kun”, is exhibited along with the illustrations. There will also be a video interview, Kanai-kun merchandise, and talks. What can we see when we peer into the soul of death?
