This event has ended.

Kunisaki peninsula in Oita Prefecture is located in the southwest of Japan, surrounded by beautiful ocean and is also known as the place where the syncretistic culture merging Shinto with Buddhism originated. Its unique culture and breathtaking natural landscape of mountain ridges with oddly-shaped rocks, rural views that haven’t changed since the Middle Ages and huge Buddha statues engraved in cliffs are well preserved and full of history. This autumn,
“Kunisaki Art Festival” will be held to present contemporary art projects featuring distinctive characteristics of the Kunisaki region, and here Art Lab introduces audiences to this special “journey of discovery” allowing and experience of the wonders of Kunisaki in Tokyo.
