Along with the “Tojiro Oshita: A Watercolor Painter” exhibition, the Chiba City Museum of Art presents a special display of watercolors from its collection. Through the introduction of works by contemporaries of Oshita as well as other watercolorists inspired by him, viewers gain an understanding of one branch of the modern Japanese watercolor painting movement. The works of Muenji Shincho and Koho Ishii are among the masterpieces exhibited.
