Izumi Kato
Examining the existence of himself among other forms of life and the meaning of the present world we live in, Izumi Kato creates works described as both “primitive” and “fetal” that are open to diverse interpretations. These mysterious human-like creations form an original world. In his first solo show in Tokyo in three years, Kato presents all of his soft vinyl sculptures— currently an area of energetic focus— revealing new creative expressions that reaffirm his vision as an artist.
