Takuro Noguchi
Striving toward new form of expression using the traditional foil craft techniques of Kyoto Nishijin, his family’s business, Takuro Noguchi has stepped onto the international stage, taking part in art fairs in Korea and Singapore and appearing on an NHK TV program for overseas audiences. He continues to pursue a kind of beauty in which viewers can see the light of hope, demonstrated in the “Landscape” series and other works with motifs including fireworks, the sea, and the sky. A large masterpiece from the “Landscape” series is among the works displayed in this exhibition, a follow-up to his 2012 show.
