This exhibition introduces the international movement “Socially Engaged Art,” which is not widely known in Japan. Involved in New York City’s socially engaged art scene for 40 years, the NPO Creative Time launched the “Living as Form” exhibition in autumn 2011. This global show curated by Nato Thompson now arrives in Tokyo as its last stop, presenting 11 key projects provoking thought on the relationship between art culture and society, with the support of the Art & Society Research Center.
