Artists

Pedro Inoue
Active in fields ranging from in industrial design to art, Brazilian-born Pedro Inoue produces work that unsparingly criticizes the world. He has held exhibitions in Korea, Japan, France, and England and collaborated with artists including David Bowie, Damien Hirst, and Ryuichi Sakamoto. In recent years he has acted as the creative director of the socio-political magazine Adbusters. Here he blurs the boundaries between “high quality” and “low quality” with high-quality pieces made with inexpensive techniques, resisting the notion that cheapness equates to “lowliness.” This exhibition converts Container’s entire space into an area for displaying Inoue’s works of many materials, geometric patterns, and mandala designs.
