Introducing the delicate wooden sculpture of Masayoshi Maeda(1956-) first inspired by his forays into wood carving when making toys for his two sons. This is accompanied by an exhibition of Yokosuka born nihonga artist Tamotsu Yoshida(1947-) with a central feature of the 16 panel, 20m long work of “Pine and Dragon” screen painting which was produced over 2 years for a temple established in San Francisco, USA. At the same time the work of Kanuemon Asai(1901-1983) is presented in gallery 8 placing a spotlight on the artist’s more small scale work.
