Kengo Kito
Kengo Kito, a 2003 graduate of Kyoto City University of Arts, has presented works at museums across Japan after being selected for the 2003 Gunma Biennale for Young Artists. In 2010, the Japanese Government Overseas Study Program for Artists sent him to Berlin, where he remains based today. His large-scale installations assembled from hula hoops, parasols, scarfs, and other common, mass-produced items seem to extend beyond their display spaces into infinity. This exhibition of Kito’s paintings, sculptures, and installations includes new works.
