Yusuke Asai
Yusuke Asai(b. 1981) is an artist who is constantly drawing things around him. Whether it be him “Mud Paintings” created from the earth and water of where ever he happens to be, to the “Marking Plants” created from masking tape and marker pen across the walls of any particular space, or event the “Plant Warning Lines” created from white road warning paint, his creative practice knows no bounds, with the clear ability to produce work no matter what environment he finds himself in. Having join in the RokkoMeetsArt 2014 program and currently presenting his first major solo show abroad in Huston, in this exhibition he undertakes a new challenge of forming spatial expressions with his penchant masking tape and marker pen.
