A discussion of how the role of parks as public spaces will change in the future, especially ahead of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Featured speakers are Moon Kyungwon, an artist selected to represent South Korea at the 2015 Venice Biennale who has been exploring “parks of the future” in her work with the Yamaguchi Center for Arts and Media (YCAM) since 2013, and Toyo Ito, an esteemed architect with experience designing numerous parks and public facilities. Moon and Ito will share their outlooks on the future of parks from their two different professional perspectives.
