In his third exhibition at Maki Fine Arts, Shu Ikeda presents 12 new works based on the theme of the city, seeming to weave between the field of painting and photography. Here he presents “Invisible Background”, collaging fragments of illuminated buildings set against the night sky, as well as “Transition”, double layered acrylic encapsulated works bringing together images of plants and the city.
