Having worked as master printer for the leading New York print studio “Universal Limited Art Editions(ULAE)” between 1986 and 1994, Hitoshi Kido came to set his own print studio Kido Press in 2002 and here undertakes to introduce his breadth of activities and encounters since the 1980s over a series of exhibitions. As the first volume of this series he shines light on the era in which he met with legendary artists such as Robert Rauschenberg, Jim Dine and Kiki Smith and features treasured prints produced by ULAE of Jasper Johns’ work.
