Tsutomu Inuzuka Exhibition

Takasaki Museum of Art
Finished

Artists

Tsutomu Inuzuka
Inspired by Mt. Tanigawa between Gunma and Niigata Prectures, the artist Tsutomu Inuzuka insisted, “What I want to paint is not landscapes but nature.” He imbued his canvases with moments of nature and life that seem united with eternity, embodied by wind, light, air, humidity, aromas, and the passage of time. This exhibition of 85 of Inuzuka’s paintings, ranging from his major works to early pieces in which he cultivated his eye for nature, is arranged in four sections: “From Reproduction to Reality,” “From Mountain to Forest,” “From Bramble to Beech,” and “In the Valley.”
