University architectural education is changing constantly, reflecting contemporary trends in areas such as architectural design and construction technologies. In recent years, the adoption of computer technology in the architectural field has broadened the possibilities of building forms, while at the same time the way of carrying out architectural work has changed. For example, users and residents have begun taking part in the planning process. In the field of architectural education as well, diverse experiments and adventures have begun in the form of asking students about approaches to and thinking about architecture. This exhibition will introduce trends and currents in architectural education, with the spotlight on architectural design topics bringing together all aspects of architectural education. The exhibition will showcase examples of topics in architecture design from the leading architectural universities in the Kanto region, describing the design process (education and learning) in each of the following stages: challenges and intentions, design progress and guidance, students’ sketches, and final output (models and plans).
