Reika Nakayama
These original illustrations from Reika Nakayama’s picture book “Shika ni Natta Shiba” (Shiva Became a Deer) feature the vibrant colors the artist encountered in the weavings of Latin America. In motifs including wild animals, flowers, dreams, memories, and stars, these works blend reality and fantasy and the contemporary and the indigenous, composing unique worlds.
