Tokyo Experimental Festival (TEF) is a festival which introduces experimental performances and exhibitions focusing on music and sound, and marks its 10th volume this year. Over a period of three months, the festival offers a unique agenda full of TEF style performances and sound installations by energetic artists from home and abroad. TEF Performance will unfold across two venues, at TWS Hongo and Ryogoku Monten Hall, with 24 performances from 15 groups, encompassing contemporary music concerts to cutting-edge and cross-genre performances. In addition to the twelve projects selected by open call, a special feature will be placed on the collaboration between an outstanding young dancer and musician duo from Poland, one of the most emerging and highly unique Japanese composers, Kazutomo Yamamoto, as well as the special prize-winner from TEF Vol.9, will also take part in this year’s Recommendation Program.
