Marianne Dages
Marianne Dages(b.1982) is an artist working out of Philadelphia. She currently operates a letterpress and bookbinding studio under the name Huldra Press, while also involved in art instruction. She studied photography and was awarded a two-year fellowship to study letterpress and bookbinding. In 2013 she was invited to a Residency Program in Iceland.
She has consciously pursued the possible forms which can be extracted (sometimes by accident) from letterpress technique, as well as the meanings that can emerge from the combination of such forms, still respecting time-honored traditions of this printing technique. This exhibition presents her works produced through letterpress printing, drawings and artist book/booklet.
