Tsubaki-kai 2015 “Shoshin”
This event has ended.
“Tsubaki-kai” is a group exhibition named after the camellia blossom, the corporate mark of Shiseido. Started in 1947 with participation by artists such as Gyokudo Kawai, Taikan Yokoyama, Ryuzaburo Umehara, and Riichiro Kawashima, the group has persisted while its membership has changed.
The third exhibition by the Seventh Tsubaki-kai presents works by members Naoya Hatakeyama, Rei Naito, Zon Ito, and Ryoko Aoki in theme of “shoshin” (beginner’s spirit). Works by Genpei Akasegawa, who passed away on October 26, 2014, are displayed posthumously.
