The compounding of Kano’s installations and Yasuda’s painting creates a tension of painting within sculpture and sculpture within painting, while giving rise to awareness of the figurative within sculpture and the abstraction of painting. Working between Idealism and Pragmatism, the contradictions between each artists’ work comes to simultaneously fuse and widen in their joint collaboration.
