The Kobal Collection
The Kobal Collection of John Kobal started out with the film materials he compiled in England during the 1960s, a time when he himself aspired to become an actor. This collection paved Kobal’s way in freelance journalist in New York, expanding to include photographs, posters, and films from the era. Marking the 100th anniversary of the birth of Ingrid Bergman, around 30 rare original prints from the collection are on display and for sale. These images capture actresses including Audrey Hepburn, Grace Kelly, Ava Gardner, Greta Garbo, Vivien Leigh, Elizabeth Taylor, Sophia Loren, and Marilyn Monroe in all their uniqueness, personality, and beauty.
