Watari-um, The Watari Museum of Contemporary Art
Finished

Artists

Lina Bo Bardi, Kazuyo Sejima
The first major exhibition in Japan for Lina Bo Bardi, who was not only an elite architect, but also led a remarkable life. She started her career as an architect in Brazil during an era when her native Italy was at war. She also worked as an educator, was influenced by Brazilian folklore, held craft exhibitions in spaces she designed based on her own original perspectives, and in her later years proposed numerous new ideas for urban planning. Come reexamine the power of architecture through the work of this wonderfully unique woman full of humanity and strength.
